Lautenbaugh Gets it Right on Omaha School Board

Given the ignominious performance of Omaha Public School Board Chairman Freddie Gray, we agree with State Senator Scott Lautenbaugh that it is time to change both the composition of the board and the time of their election.

Sadly, much of the need for these changes has been brought on by the incompetent leadership of Freddie Gray and those who continue to elect her......

So is that to say the only reason for the State law change is to get rid of Freddie Gray?
What happens if the newly sized Board voted in on a new election date still has Gray as President?
Or will the stucturing of the new districts be composed in such a way to assure this from not being able to happen.
Is incompence of one member a true rationale for changing the size and the election cycle? The size has been changed in the Lautenbaugh bill from his truism that 5 is the best answer to 9 now, which is much closer to the 12 that they now have. Is the number of chairs at the table important, of the heads of the bodies that sit in the chairs?
It may seem that changing the date of the election should start in 2015 so the districts can be established and the people can know where they are and who is eligible to run.
