Lee Terry on The President's Budget

Congressman Lee Terry disagrees with the President's budget as should any right-thinking, rational person. We hope he and his colleagues have the fortitude to stand up to the Prince of Peace Nobel Laureate President of the World of Equal Nations Commissar Barack Barry Soetoro Hussein Obama. Time will tell.

Here is part of Lee's Statement on the budget:

“Today was an opportunity for the President to reject the big-spending mentality which has dominated Washington for far too long – leading to massive budget deficits. Unfortunately, he did nothing to address the serious fiscal situation facing our economy and instead recommended more of the same – more taxes, more spending, and more borrowing. This budget imposes $1.6 trillion in tax hikes, $3.8 trillion in spending this year alone, and adds $13 trillion to the national debt over the next ten years.

“This track will do nothing to create more jobs and will only lead to more economic uncertainty. We need serious economic reforms to get control of our nation’s spending and restore the confidence in our economic engine. It is absolutely necessary we work together to cut spending, reduce taxes, and restore a sense of certainty to the private sector.”

It's too bad that Terry & Fortenberry voted AGAINST Jim Jordan's amendment yesterday to cut an additional $22 billion in out of control government spending. I can hardly believe they did this. Obama, Pelosi, Reid and the Dems have pushed spending beyond imagination and we can't even agree on rearranging the deck chairs.

I can't tell you how disappointed I am in Jeff Fortenberry and Lee Terry's votes yesterday to NOT cut spending. They voted along with ALL the Democrats against Rep. Jim Jordan's amendment to cut an additional $22 billion in out of control government spending. I can hardly believe they did this. Obama, Pelosi, Reid and the Dems have pushed spending beyond imagination and they can't even agree on rearranging the deck chairs.
