Well, it seems that Senator Kent Rogert is going more than nuclear (see immediate post below), he's also being, shall we say, going less than discreet? Yes, we noted in prior posts that Senator Rogert has a particular female lobbyist that he seems to favor for lunches. Let's just call her Katie....Apparently the two can stay far from one another. Case in point. The recent golf outing fund raiser held in Ogallala for State Senator Ken Schilz. Several of our correspondents have confirmed that the two shared a golf cart...and perhaps more than that.One might think that Senator Tax Evader Rogert would better utilize his time back home in his district going door to door talking about the plight of small boat dealers....

I understand the tax evading Senator Rogert recently took a pair of season tix to Husker football games without reimbursing the University for them. Regardless if any other senator did this, does this guy have no shame? Apparently he's basking in the spoils of the office while he has a few days remaining.
I am a female legislative staffer here in Lincoln. For obvious reasons, I am unable to disclose my identity because if I did, I would risk being fired. However I wanted to provide shed light on an issue that I feel should be public knowledge. For a least one year, perhaps more than two, Senator Kent Rogert has been involved in an extramarital affair with a registered lobbyist who is employed by a well known firm, which lobbies on behalf of dozens of clients. There are numerous stories of the two spending time at Senator Rogert's condo in Omaha as well as hotel rooms throughout the state.
I am not writing you because of the affair because that is a matter between grown and consenting adults. I am writing because of the ethical violation. Senator Rogert has carried bills and voted on legislation, in committees and on the chamber floor, that were being advocated by Mrs. Zulkoski and her firm. Here is an example .... At the hearing, Senator Rogert and his girlfriend lobbyist were the only two proponents of the bill testifying at the hearing. Senator Rogert also sits on the committee that reviewed and voted on the bill. This is a clear breach of ethics and a disrespect for the public trust when the two are providing one another with sexual favors. This is just one of many examples.
I hope someone will shed light on it.
