Well, there he goes again. Yep, Nebraska's failed, former, has-been, renegade, afraid-to-run-for-a-third-term, rhino Republican U.S. Senator Chuck Hagel is trying to be relevant once again. But is he trying to be relevant with Republicans?
NO.
This embarrassment of a former Nebraska U.S. Senator is going to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania tomorrow(August 24) to help a Democrat win a U.S. Senate seat over Republican conservative Pat Toomey. He'll show up their to promote and endorse Joe Sestak's candidacy.
Perhaps by helping the Democrats maintain control of the Senate he believes he can further suck up to the Prince of Peace Nobel Laureate President of the World of Equal Nations Commissar Barack Barry Soetoro Hussein Obama in his own quest for political relevance (appointment as something, anything).
It's unfortunate that nothing has ever been named after this liberal turncoat here in Nebraska. Bob Kerrey got a bridge. Even our ever-more-disgraced former Mayor Fahey got a street. But poor Chuckie gets nothing--not even a statue of himself in his formative years as a Boy Scout.
We at the Objective Conservative still believe that Chuckie deserves his due. We hope that our soon to-be-recalled mayor will consider naming, as we've suggested in the past, the $3 billion dollar government-mandated sewer separation project the Senator Chuck Hagel Big Stink Sewer Project. Somehow that has an aroma that seems to remind us of this, hopefully, former Nebraskan.

This guy was a carpet bagger from day one when, after 20 years in Washington DC, he came back to run for the Senate. He advertised himself as a conservative. Ha! He should hold out for an appointment as Dog Catcher because he sure could not be elected as one! What a major league disappointment!
