It is absolutely amazing that not only is Omaha's mayor delusional, but also some of his bed mates, err city councilmen. Yes, we understand after TAX AND SPEND TOM MULLIGAN and his mentor Chris Jerram finished their revisions of the mayor's budget Tuesday, they were bragging about how they had served the needs of the people and, in fact, suggesting that they were mayoral material. Drinking the Kool Aid at City Hall?

In Councilman Mulligan's single impassioned(?) comments in support of his support for the revised budget, he stated that the former mayor and council bequeathed the city with an untenable financial problem, which is correct!
However, then Mr. Mulligan essentially said the city needs to accept whatever is proposed by the mayor, and required by the irresponsible police contract (for which he voted), and pay whatever is required to fund the irrespon-sible budget and the new contract!
But Mr. Mulligan did get that photo op on 105th St. with the Mayor! Talk about "politics as usual"! Mr. Mulligan is learning quickly! Are Jerram and Mulligan the Abbott and Costello of the Omaha City Council, or what????
