Good News for a dying Elephant?

You probably won't hear much about this from the press, but Rasmussen has some good news for the Republican Party. Voters now trust the Republican Party more than the Democrat Party on the economy and independent voters trust Republicans by a two-to-one margin. Just as signficant, on the issue of government ethics and corruption Republicans now have a six point margin over the Democrats (Can you say Murtha, etal?)

Now if the Republicans can come up with a viable conservative candidate in 2012...there may yet be a glimmer of hope. It's not Palin or Gingrich and please do not resurrect McCain.

It's my opinion that America has rounded a corner that we will never be able to return to...in just 6 short months. And the worst is yet to come I am afraid.

I would respectfully submit that the "elephant" has been wounded, but is NOT YET "dying"!

The prognosis for our nation, as we understand its structure and purpose, is indeed dire!

However, a dynamic and vibrant Republican Party is the best antidote for a return to some semblance of responsibiltiy from our government!

It may be difficult to be optimistic about much of anything politically at this point, but it is important to be "positive", if not necessarily optimistic!
