Thanks to Terry, Smith and Fortenberry

While we thought we might have one defection among our congressional delegation we are pleased to report that all three Nebraska congressman voted against the bail out of the big 3. Congratulations and thanks to Congressman Terry, Smith and Fortenberry. We're sure that they were all under lots of pressure from auto dealers (contributors) and various manufacturers across the state that produce products for auto related businesses which makes their votes all the more meaningful.

Now we'll see which way our senators will vote on this. We'll be surprised to see Senator Nelson vote against his party on this one--which should be instructive to Nebraskans that think he is a Republican at heart or as good as one. As for soon-to-be-has-been Senator Hagel who knows. He might vote for the bail out in hope that he can become the Domestic Auto Czar........

Wish I could take credit for this one, but it originated elsewhere. "Car czar" just doesn't have the punch that "drug czar" or "energy czar" did. Instead, how about "Auto Crat"?
